Muckhart Wins Regional Quiz Final

The Muckhart team repeated their earlier success to win the regional final of the annual Rotary Primary Schools' Quiz which was held at Alva Academy on Saturday.

Team members Craig Baxter, Andrew Duthie, Anna Glasgow and Samuel Smith of P6/7 again displayed their general knowledge and will now attend the National Final in Old Meldrum, Aberdeen, on 5th June.

They answered questions on a wide range of topics including sport, maths, literature, science, current affairs, history and geography. They were competing against seven other schools, including Abercromby Primary from Tullibody who came second in the Clackmannanshire round of the quiz. Other teams came from Pitlochry, Crieff, Perth, Blairgowrie, Blackford and Morrison's Academy Primary from Crieff came second and will join Muckhart at the final.

Head teacher Helen Finch said: "Well done to Craig, Andrew, Samuel and Anna. Everyone at Muckhart is really proud of their achievement and wish them loads of luck for the final in June."
