Local authorities throughout the United Kingdom will Fly the Red Ensign for Merchant Navy Day from to remember the sacrifices, acknowledge the courage and show support for future seafarers on which the UK depends.
If you would like to attend, please meet at the flagpole area at Kilncraigs for 10.20am, where you will be met and will then move onto the roundel area (former Town Cross) paved area, next to Greenside carpark.
Flag will be raised by Lord Lieutenant Lt Col (Retd) Johnny Stewart LVO Cadets.
