Olympic Tickets Available in Clackmannanshire

As Olympic fever grips the nation, the people of Clackmannanshire have been invited to join in the sporting fun with tickets allocated - free of charge - for this Friday at Hampden Park, Glasgow.

On Friday 3rd August Hampden will be the venue for an Olympic Women's Football Quarter Final Game, kicking-off at 12 noon - One hundred and fifty tickets are still available from the Wee County.

Should you wish a free ticket for the match please contact Clackmannanshire Council's Sport and Development team at Kilncraigs on 01259 450000, where arrangements can be made for tickets to be collected.

All Clackmannanshire's schools have been given the opportunity to send pupils to see a variety of events at the London 2012 Games, with 60 tickets initially allocated and a further 478 have since been added to their allocation.

All schools had the opportunity to attend the football at Hampden Park, and three lucky pupils from St Bernadette's Primary have been given the chance to go to Earl's Court, London, on Wednesday,3rd August, to watch the volleyball.

Three Craigbank Primary schoolchildren were at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Wednesday, 25th July for the opening day of Olympic action, when team GB women's football team took on New Zealand.

Then on Tuesday, 31st July, six pupils from the Primary School Support Unit, will hot-foot it down to London to enjoy a session of weightlifting at the ExCel Arena.

Clackmannanshire schoolchildren will also be setting off for London, with tickets for the Paralympic Athletics events at the Olympic Stadium. Menstrie Primary, Banchory Primary, Alva Primary, Claremont Primary and Muckhart Primary, each have three tickets for various sessions throughout the Games.
