Social Services Praised Over Internet Safety

Child Care social workers have been praised for a successful event aimed at raising awareness of internet safety.
Esafety partnership were invited by UKCIS (UK child Internet safety) and the Scottish Government to host a stand with interactive vehicles at the recent Esafety Live event.
They joined up with around 200 delegates from various organisations, including education and health.
There was a huge amount of Interest in the partnership's work and facilities at the event which has lead to invitations to attend in several other areas out with Forth Valley.
Head of Social Services, Deirdre Cilliers, said: "Official feedback is still awaited, however the Esafety partnership were personally thanked by the organisers.
"Feedback on the day from delegates was very positive. Our internet Champions are also now in place with Youth Services at the Safe Base in Stirling."
The partnership will be working across Forth Valley in the summer with the youth services and will have the vehicles at the following events and locations:
Armed Forces Day at Kings Park Stirling, on Saturday 23rd June; .Clacks Youth Services annual event, "the Big Buzz", at West End Park, Alloa on Saturday 30th June; Childrens' Festival, Zetland Park, Grangemouth on Sunday 22nd July; .Callander Highland Games on Sunday 29th July; and Denny Highland Games on Saturday 15th September.
