Clackmannanshire Council has agreed to sponsor the local Alloa Football and Athletic Club for the coming two seasons.
Provost Stewart said, "Alloa Football Club players are great ambassadors for the area, raising awareness of Alloa, as the county town, and the whole of Clackmannanshire. The club already does a lot of great work to involve young people in sport and this money will be used to enhance such community projects, which reach children and young adults from all areas of the county.
"The Council encourages both involvement in sporting and physical activity and pride in Clackmannanshire. Alloa Football and Athletic Club embodies these aims and I wish them every success in the coming season."
