Services at the Click Centre at 19 Mar Street, Alloa, are to move.

The EAT IT Cafe will be moving temporarily to the Christian Centre, Elim Pentecostal Church, Greenside Street. The cafe provides a working environment for over 20 supported employment service users: individuals who need social services support to be able to work.

The recording studio will close temporarily while a new, more suitable space is found.

Some of the Council's internal IT services will also be moving from the Click Centre to Kilncraigs, which is a more suitable building and one of the three main Council hubs.

The moves will take place from 13 July, to allow Criminal Justice Services to move into 19 Mar Street after the building has been refitted. Criminal Justice Services were previously housed in the Alloa Centre, which is being redeveloped as part of the new Forth Valley College Clackmannan Campus.

Councillor George Matchett, portfolio holder for inclusion, said "I'm pleased to say that the first steps towards a new college campus in Alloa are underway. The Click Centre building is well suited to housing Criminal Justice, being central and easy to access. The recording studio and IT services will be located in buildings better suited to their purpose. We apologise for any disruption caused by the moves, but can promise a better service in the longer term."
