Friends of Clackmannanshire Museum and Heritage Service hold their Annual General Meeting and accompanying presentations at 7.30pm on Wednesday 6th May in the Tommy Downs Room, Alloa Town Hall.

Following the business part of the evening, Joyce Reekie will talk about her favourite objects from the Menstrie Primary School 'Treasure'. The 'Treasure', which came from the former primary school in Menstrie, was donated to the Museum collection when the school closed, was the first group of objects which Joyce dealt with when she began to help as a volunteer with the Museum and Heritage Service. Her talk will be illustrated and she will bring some of the objects along to the meeting for people to take a closer look.

Museum and Heritage Officer Susan Mills will also give an update on recent accessions to the Museum collection and objects which have been conserved during the last year.

The talks will be followed by refreshments. The Friends want to encourage more people to join them, so would like to welcome anyone who has never attended these events before, as well as hoping that Friends will bring along a friend!

If you would like to come along to this event but are not a member, please contact Susan Mills at Clackmannanshire Council Museum and Heritage Service, Speirs Centre, Primrose Street, Alloa, call 01259 216913.
