Moira Bruce has retired from the Cornton Vale Over 21s Visiting Committee after four years' service.

Moira is well known in Clackmannanshire for her tireless work and dedicated fundraising for various charities and community groups. She is a hospital visitor and home visitor for Alloa North Church and has been a Friend of Rachel House since its inception. She also supports Children's Hospice Association Scotland and Homestart.

Her retirement from Cornton Vale Over 21s Visiting Committee follows seven years' service on the Glenochil Visiting Committee.

Paying tribute to Moira, Cornton Vale Over 21s Visiting Committee chairwoman Moira Graham said: "Moira will be greatly missed by the committee. Prison visiting is widely regarded as extremely important in aiding prisoner rehabilitation and Moira has been committed to this cause for over a decade. On behalf of the committee I would like to thank her for sharing her knowledge and experience over her many years of service to the community."
