How can you help?

Opportunities exist for you however you want to be involved, whether you want to get out and about or help to guide the future of the biodiversity partnership.

A number of organisations run practical work days where you can get out and get your hands dirty for the benefit of wildlife. You may also want to take the opportunity to attend one of the many training events taking place to learn more about our local biodiversity. See our events page or contact us for more details.

You can help biodiversity wherever you are. Small things can make a big difference:

At home - Why not put up a nest box, feed the birds, choose native plants and shrubs, make a log pile or create a garden pond.

At work - You can create habitats within your grounds or join projects in the surrounding area.

At school - Create areas where wildlife can thrive and record the wildlife that you see.

At play - Keep your eyes open! Your sightings will help us to monitor wildlife locally and nationally. Volunteer your time to help with practical conservation tasks.
