Kennet Conservation Area

This consultation is now closed

A draft Kennet Conservation Area Appraisal was prepared for public consultation.

The document identifies the characteristics and key elements which contribute to the special historic and architectural character of the area. The finalised document will serve as supplementary planning guidance to the Local Development Plan and guide the Council in making future planning decisions in Kennet.

The Kennet Conservation Area was designated in the 1970s and comprises a row of listed miner's cottages on the north side of the Clackmannan to Gartarry road. The Conservation Area includes the gardens of the cottages and three dwellings to the rear of the gardens at number 1 and number 3 Kennet Village, the cottage immediately behind number 16, the field to the east of the cottage row, and a belt of trees immediately across the road.
