The Council will be re-opening the Speirs Centre in Alloa and the Ben Cleuch Centre in Tillicoultry on Wednesday 15 July as part of the next phase of the Scottish Government’s easing of restrictions.
However as staff and customer safety is our main priority, we will be operating a restricted service to ensure safe social distancing.
The centres will be open from 10am until 2pm, Monday to Friday and will be offering the following services:
Cllr Graham Lindsay, the Council’s spokesperson for Education, said:
"We understand that this has been a very difficult time for everyone so the re-opening of the Speirs Centre and the Ben Cleuch Centre for payments and some library services is very welcome.
"Our staff have been working incredibly hard to get these restricted services up and running and I would like to thank them. We will continue to follow Scottish Government guidelines and will look to increase the services we are offering gradually over the coming weeks as and when the guidance allows us to do so.
"Our Libraries will be opening with fewer staff available, so we would ask for your patience and understanding as some procedures may take slightly longer."
In line with Scottish Government guidance, we would asked anyone who is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 not to visit these buildings and those who become unwell during their visit must inform a member of staff immediately.
