A series of public meetings and drop-in sessions will be held throughout September as part of the Council's community consultation on the development of more responsive, effective and accessible local services which put the customer first.
The August council meeting agreed that a change of focus in local service delivery was needed to help provide better service performance and improved customer satisfaction, enhanced service user and community relationships and more effective service contributions to meeting outcomes.
This approach envisages an integrated public sector presence in local areas where Council, and potentially other public services, could offer a single point of access for service users which might include:
