Clackmannanshire Council introduced an easier and more convenient way for customers to pay bills by cash earlier this year. Hundreds of customers have already taken advantage of the change to pay their council tax bills, rent and other invoices using PayPoint outlets located within local convenience stores, newsagents, supermarkets, garages and off-licences.

These changes were introduced to make it easier for customers to make payments through a wide network of PayPoint outlets located across Clackmannanshire, providing customers with greater choice of where and when to pay.

More and more people are finding it more convenient to make payments electronically, with a significant number of customers who previously paid cash, now paying bills by direct debit or by card through the Council's website or over the telephone.

Customers who still prefer to make cash payments have benefitted from longer opening hours, with Paypoint outlets often open early morning to late evening, 7 days a week.

As a result of these changes, the Council's CAP offices will stop taking cash and cheque payments for council tax, rent or other invoices from Friday 5th August 2016. CAP staff will support customers in making the changes, providing help with things like setting up a direct debit, making a payment online or using the PayPoint network.
