Low Income Pandemic Payment

As part of the Scottish Government Budget 2021/22, the First Minister announced that a one-off £130 Low Income Pandemic Payment would be made by 31 October 2021 to households who are either:

  • in receipt of Council Tax Reduction/Second Adult Rebate or
  • did not pay Council Tax due to certain discounts or exemptions, during the month of April 2021.

Note that Single Person Discount on your Council Tax is not classed as Council Tax Reduction.

Applications

Applications closed as of 26th October 2021.

How will I be paid?

Payments will be made directly to a bank account, or if we cannot obtain bank details, a credit will be made to your Council Tax account.

When will I be paid?

Payments should be made by the end of October 2021.

Not eligible

If you are not currently in receipt of Council Tax Reduction, Second Adult Rebate or think you may have qualified for a discount or exemption during April 2021, please contact us on 01259 450000.
