I have an event booked (for example Wedding, Birthday Party, Wrestling/Martial Art Event, Conference, Exhibition etc) can this still take place?
Due to the current Government guidelines around social distancing and gatherings events can not currently take place. The Council will continue to monitor and adhere to advice and guidance from both the UK and Scottish Governments. For queries around a specific booking please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
For events up to the end of May the Leisure Team has tried to contact people to discuss refunds, cancellation or re-booking events to a later date.
I have an event booked for a date after 1 June - what is going to happen?
At the moment we have only taken the decision to cancel events up to the end of May 2020, so as things stand the booking is still valid. Depending on future guidance a member of the Leisure Team will be in touch in due course to discuss arrangements (for example, cancellation, re-booking and/or a refund of any deposit paid).
I don’t want to wait to be contacted - I would like to cancel my booking now.
Please email the Leisure team at email@example.com providing the date, venue and type of booking along with your name, address and contact telephone number. Someone from the Leisure Team will call you back to discuss your options.
My booking has been cancelled - am I entitled to a refund?
If your event was due to take place on or before 31 May 2020 then a member of the Leisure Team has hopefully already been in touch to discuss your options, which would include an option to refund. If this has not happened, or your event is due to take place on or after 1 June 2020 then please e-mail our Leisure Team at firstname.lastname@example.org providing the date, venue and type of booking along with your name, address and contact telephone number. Someone from the Leisure Team will call you back to discuss your options.
