Clacks Youth Timebank involves young people ages 12 - 24 years in volunteering activities and improves youth volunteer opportunities.
Timebank involves supporting young people in creating and managing their own volunteer projects, encouraging them to take part in the wider life of the community. It encourages and supports youth-led community action.
For every hour that you volunteer you will gain a time credit, these will then be converted into Young Scot reward points and sent to you every time you hit a milestone.
The milestones are as follows:
For every 50 additional hours you will gain another 100 points.
1 hour of voluntary work equals 1 hour of time credits, for example, if a community project takes 10 hours to plan and 4 hours to carry, 14 credits will be earned.
If an outing/activity is to last for 4 hours, 4 time credits are needed to attend.
You need to sign up to the reward scheme on the Young Scot website. If you do not have a Young Scot card please get in touch and we will get this sorted for you.
Once you have signed up for the scheme you can enter your voucher codes to record your points.
You can register for rewards by visiting the Young Scot website.
You will be able to redeem your points on a range of training, activities, goodies, events, work experience and much more. I hope that you take full advantage of this opportunity to gain and redeem points, if there is something that you think we should be adding to the rewards please let us know.
As a TimeBank member you are automatically signed up for the Saltire Award, you do not need to do anything for this as we will carry out all administration from our end and present you for this award. For information on the Saltire award please visit www.saltireaward.org.uk.
