THE CLACKMANNANSHIRE COUNCIL (VARIOUS STREETS, MENSTRIE) (BUS PROHIBITION) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2015

Clackmannanshire Council has made the above named Experimental Order under Section 1(1), (2) and (3), 9 and 10(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 23 April 2015.

FULL DETAILS of this Experimental Order is as published in the Alloa Advertiser on the 4 March 2015 which will prohibit motor vehicles constructed or adapted to carry more than eight passengers and local buses of any capacity are prohibited from travelling on the sections of roads described in the Schedule (Excluding motor vehicles that seat up to sixteen passengers and one driver (up to six tonnes) which is a specially adapted vehicle being used for the transport of people with disabilities).  The order is intended as an experiment for the purposes of road safety and is being introduced for a period of 12 months.  Its maximum term in terms of the act is eighteen months.

A copy of the order, together with a copy of the relative plan is available below or may be examined at Clackmannanshire Council's Headquarters at Kilncraigs, Alloa, FK10 1EB or at any Council Library / CAP, during normal office hours, free of charge.  Any person wishing to object to the validity of the order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the aforesaid Act or that if any requirement therein has not been compiled with, may within six weeks from 1 May 2015 apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.

Lengths of Road in Menstrie

Sections of road over which motor vehicles constructed or adapted to carry more than eight passengers and local buses of any capacity are prohibited. Millbrook Place, MenstrieFor its entirety, a distance of 34 metres or thereby.
Castle Road, MenstrieFrom its junction with Brook Street eastwards to it junction with Menstrie Place, a distance of 40 metres or thereby.
Menstrie Place, MenstrieFrom its junction with Castle Road eastwards for its entirety, a distance of 135 metres or thereby.
Elmbank, MenstrieFrom its junction with Menstrie Place eastwards to its junction with Forthvale, a distance of 230 metres of thereby.
