School Lets
Clackmannanshire Council operates a system whereby unused school premises can sometimes be available for use by local groups for activities which benefit the community. Although schools cannot be used during school times, on public holidays, or when repairs or maintenance is being carried out, they may be available on other occasions.
Community groups, which have a constitution, are properly organised, non-commercial and non-profit making, can apply by means of the on-line application form. Group organisers will be responsible for ensuring that their group is properly supervised and, if appropriate, may require to provide evidence of in-date Police checks. Council staff will compare the requests with availability and respond to the Group.
Charges are made for the hire of each area/Let. Lets are only granted when schools are not needed by the Council and, on occasion, may be cancelled at short notice.
