As part of the Council's ongoing commitment to sustain the Scottish Housing Quality Standard Health Safe and Secure category, a fencing upgrade programme is on going with contractor A & B Reid Fencing.
Local Housing Officers continued to engage with communities to identify priority areas for upgrading.
This 4 year programme of work will focus on 5 areas that involve severe health and safety concerns.
These areas were:
Feedback from our tenants has been very positive. Through enhancing gardens and common areas this has allowed easier management and clear boundaries for tenants increasing security.
The upgrade specification includes items such as galvanised steel posts that will ensure durability and longevity and reduce ongoing maintenance requirements.
