Clackmannanshire Hedge & Tree Planting Scheme
Applications for this scheme are now closed. Details of any future schemes will be posted here in due course.
The Clackmannanshire Hedge & Tree Planting (CHTP) Scheme aims to encourage and provide support for capital measures designed to enhance existing or establish new hedgerows, trees and small woodlands in Clackmannanshire.
The objectives of the scheme are:
- To enhance biodiversity and therefore contribute to the Local Biodiversity Action Plan
- To benefit public amenity and encourage the involvement of local communities in their immediate environment
- To improve the structure of the landscape
- To maintain rural skills such as fencing and hedgerow management
The scheme was successfully piloted in 2005/2006 with funding provided by Clackmannanshire Heritage Trust, Scottish Natural Heritage and Clackmannanshire Council. The Central Scotland Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) will facilitate the scheme.
