Firpark class enrolment guidelines

Classes may be added, amalgamated or cancelled by Clackmannanshire Council subject to demand.

If, for any reason, you cannot attend a class you will only be given a refund if we can fill your place on the class.

A full refund will be given if Clackmannanshire Council cancel any classes.

Levels

Beginners between 4.5 and 6 years must attend a Penguin Club class and not a Level 1 class.

Beginners age 7 - adult require to attend a Level 1 class.

If you have skied at Firpark within the last 6 months you should have been awarded a qualification which we will have on record. You should book a place on the next level. The levels are as follows:

  • Skiing L1, L2, L3, L3+, L4, L5, L6, L7, L7+
  • Snowboard Beginner
  • Snowboard Improver

If you are not sure of your qualification please check this with a member of staff. You can also refer to our level description page for information.

Snowboarders should be age 11 or over and at least a shoe size 4.

We may be able to accommodate younger children who fit the equipment/have previous experience/have their own equipment. Please enquire at Firpark.

If you have skied before but not at Firpark you will need to be assessed by a Firpark Instructor to determine your level.

What should you bring?

  • Gloves are essential. You will not be allowed on the slope without them.
  • Long sleeve clothing and long trousers (not jeans) must be worn.

Skiers are advised to wear appropriate clothing during inclement weather.

You may wish to bring a change of clothing as the slope has a sprinkler system that emits a fine mist of water which lubricates the slope and reduces friction between the skis and the slope.

What does Firpark provide?

Skis, boots, poles and helmets are included in the cost of the class and all equipment is carefully fitted to individual requirements by experienced technicians.
