Forth Valley Meet the Buyer Event

Clackmannanshire Council will be represented at a Forth Valley-wide 'Meet the Buyer' event being held in November during Clackmannanshire Business Week.

The event has been organised by Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Councils to give local business across the Forth Valley the chance to meet with a range of public sector buyers. It takes place at Alloa Town Hall on 22nd November from 10am - 2pm.

Public sector buyers at the event will include Clackmannanshire Council, Falkirk Council, Stirling Council, University of Stirling, Forth Valley College, Scotland Excel, Zero Waste Scotland and NHS Forth Valley.

A number of agencies/services will also be on hand to offer business support and advice such as Business Gateway, Supplier Development Programme, Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Small Businesses, Scottish Government Procurement, CVS Falkirk, Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise and Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface.


This is a free event, but businesses who intend to attend must register through the Supplier Development Programme website

There will be a number of workshops running throughout the event:

  • Procurement Reform
  • How the Supplier Development Programme can work for you
  • The Practical Impact of eInvoicing on P2P Processes

The 'Meet The Buyer' event will be followed by a 'Meet Council Services: Discuss your business needs' event from 3pm to 5pm in Alloa Town Hall. This is an ideal opportunity to put questions and issues to representatives from a range of Council services that are particularly relevant to businesses including Planning, Building Standards, Trading Standards, Environmental Health, Licensing, Property, Economic Development , Clackmannanshire Works, Waste and Roads.
