Clackmannanshire and Stirling Councils and NHS Forth Valley are inviting people who use health or social care services, including patients, carers and other clients, to come along to a series of public events to explain:

  • What health and social care integration is
  • What's happening now and what will happen next
  • Answer questions about health and social care integration
  • Hear what matters to you most when using health and social care services

The events will take place on Saturday, 30th May 2015 at:

10.30 - 12 noon: Sauchie Hall

1.00 - 2.30pm: Lecture Theatre, Stirling Community Hospital

3.30 - 5.00pm: Dance Hall, McLaren Community Leisure Centre, Callander

Clackmannanshire Council's Housing, Health and Care Convener Councillor Les Sharp said: "Health and social care staff from the NHS and Councils already work together very effectively to deliver integrated services, and this programme of reform will build on what is a very solid foundation. It's vital that we engage with all the relevant groups so that everyone has the chance to have their say on how integration should work. They will be at the heart of the scheme's decision making process and together we can shape a more streamlined service which will lead to improved health for our citizens."

Stirling Council's Social Care Convener Cllr Christine Simpson said: "As part of developing and implementing health and social care integration in Forth Valley, we want to engage with local people and communities. The feedback we receive at the events will be invaluable as we develop the new health partnership, so we would like as many people who use health and social care services in Stirling and Clackmannanshire to come along and let us know what's important to them."

Kathy O'Neill, NHS Forth Valley's General Manager for Community Health Services, said: "This is the start of a very important journey to improve the way health and social care services are delivered across Stirling and Clackmannanshire. These events will give us an opportunity to update local people on the progress which has been made over the last few months, answer questions and gather valuable feedback to help inform future plans and priorities."
