Kestrels have declined by 65% in Scotland since 1995. To aid their recovery, the Council's Countryside Ranger Service is developing a nest box scheme and recording programme.
This month's mid-week volunteer task will be to build some kestrel boxes, which will then be placed in suitable spots for the start of the 2015 breeding season.
Please join the Rangers on Wednesday 14th January from 11am- 3pm. Meet at Gartmorn Dam Visitor Centre. Bring a packed lunch and wear warm, waterproof clothing
