Following its creation last year, the P4 Badminton Carnival was held again and was met with much enthusiasm. With 12 schools taking part this year, it was split into three separate cluster events.

Children competed in teams of 6 - 10 players and teams rotated around six different skill stations. Every time a player completed a skill they earned points for their team. The team with the most points at the end of all six stations went home with winning team certificates. All the teams played extremely well and the points were close for all three cluster.

Winning the Lornshill cluster this year was St Bernadette's with 5050 points. The Alloa cluster was won by Redwell with 2140 points and the Alva cluster was won by Tillicoultry team 5 with 2580 points.

The Council holds a beginners badminton class on a Friday evening from 5.30-6.30pm at Alloa Academy. If you are interested in playing more badminton please contact us on 01259 450000 to find out about local opportunities.
