First Report to Tenants Published

A report for Clackmannanshire Council tenants which highlights the performance of the Housing and Community Safety Service and the investments made to improve housing stock has been published.

The first report to tenants on Scottish Social Housing Charter performance gives details of the Council's strong performance as a social landlord against a number of standards across Scotland. A comprehensive satisfaction survey has also shown that over 90% of tenants are satisfied with the Council as a landlord.

The report shows that Clackmannanshire Council performs above the Scottish average in many categories, including:

  • best performer in Scotland for average time taken to complete an emergency repair - 1.91 hours compared to Scottish average of 7.4 hours
  • above average in housing stock meeting the Scottish Housing Quality Standard - 90.8% against a Scottish average of 84.4%
  • tenants satisfied with management of their neighbourhood 83% compared to a Scottish average of 72%
  • tenants satisfied with standard of their home when moving in 77.1% against Scottish average of 74.6%

The Council has now introduced annual tenancy visits, allowing tenants to raise any issues they may have and to build a relationship with housing officers.

The service also retained the Customer Service Excellence award, achieving an outstanding eight Compliance Plus ratings.

The impressive investment programme in housing stock in Clackmannanshire has continued, with a further £8.75m invested during the year, bringing a total of £21.4m invested in just three years.
