Forth Valley Meet the Buyer Event

Businesses are being reminded that Clackmannanshire Council will be represented at a Forth Valley-wide Meet the Buyer event being held in early November.

The event has been organised by Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Councils to give local business across the Forth Valley the chance to meet with a range of public sector buyers. It takes place at Alloa Town Hall on Thursday 6th November from 10am - 2pm.

Public sector buyers at the event will include Clackmannanshire Council, Falkirk Council, Stirling Council, University of Stirling, Forth Valley College, NHS Forth Valley and Scotland Excel.

A number of agencies/services will also be on hand to offer business support and advice such as Business Gateway, Supplier Development Programme (SDP), Capability Scotland/Scottish Procurement, Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce, Ready for Business and the Scottish Government.

This is a free event, but businesses who intend to attend must register through the Supplier Development Programme website www.sdpscotland.co.uk/

There will be a number of workshops running throughout the event:
10.30 - 11am A Beginners Guide to Public Procurement (Clackmannanshire Council)
11.15 - 11.45am Sign up for the free Public Sector Contracts Sourcing Directory & enhance your chances of being invited to quote (Capability Scotland/Scottish Procurement)
12 - 12.30pm How the Supplier Development Programme can work for you (Supplier Development Programme)
12.45 - 13.45pm The Journey - From Purchase Order to Payment (Scottish Government)
Businesses can attend any time between 10am and 2pm.
