Check your Polling Place Before the Referendum

Voters are being reminded to check that they know where their polling place is before the Scottish Independence Referendum on 18 September.

Some polling places in Clackmannanshire changed last year following a review by the Council. In Alloa, for example, both the Alloa Baptist Church Hall, 5 Ludgate, and the Ludgate Church Hall in Bedford Place are now used as polling places. While these polling places have already been used for the European Parliamentary Election, the Counting Officer wants to remind voters to check where they should go to vote in the Referendum.

Elaine McPherson, Counting Officer for Clackmannanshire, said: "For those who are first time voters or have not voted in a while, I would urge that you check your poll card for the location of your polling place so that you know where you need to go to cast your vote. If you are unsure of where the building is, please check online or call the Council. We're expecting the polls to be busy, so please take a few minutes before the 18th of September to check you know where to go."

ClacksWeb has a post code lookup facility which will help you find the polling place for your address. You can go online to our Polling Place locations page or call 01259 452222.
