A new forum will meet for the second time later this month.

The MECS/Telecare Forum will meet on Friday 26th September from 1-3pm at Sauchie Hall. The Forum met for the first time in June.

Service users, their families and carers are invited to come along. This is a chance to find our more about the technology available, a chance to give feedback on the service and ask any questions you have about the service.

Mobile Emergency Care Service (MECS) is provided by Social Services to enable vulnerable people and their carers to call for assistance in an emergency at any time, day or night.

MECS is able to provide a range of Telecare solutions which can be installed to support an individual's care package at home. Examples of Telecare equipment include, door exit monitors, fall detectors and smoke/gas alarms. The use of the equipment can help maintain independence and reduce carer anxiety.

Representatives from Forth Valley NHS, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Council's MECS and Telecare equipment suppliers will attend.
