Councillor Margaret Paterson has welcomed news that two Council projects have been awarded prizes in the Green Apple Awards.

This national award recognises buildings that enhance the environment and are a source of civic pride.

Now Kilncraigs Business Centre and Tobias Bauchop's House in Alloa have both been recognised.

Councillor Paterson said: "I am delighted to see both projects recognised by this national organisation.

"At Kilncraigs we worked hand in hand with Scottish Enterprise Forth Valley to develop a landmark building for the County. This is the third award in which it has achieved recognition in as many months. I am delighted and it can only help the building's reputation as one of the best in Scotland.

"Tobias Bauchop's House is perhaps the finest house in the County and a great deal of work has been done to bring it back to its former glory. This award is tremendous recognition of that work."

Tobias Bauchop's House was a National Silver Award Winner while Kilncraigs won a National Bronze Award.
