If you're going along to Tron Court Fun Day this Saturday, look out for the Council information stall.
Following the success of the stall at Tillicoultry Gala Day and Hawkhill Fun Day, staff will be going along to Tullibody this weekend. The stall is a chance to help local people who have questions or concerns about the changes that are happening as a result of welfare reform.
Since the introduction of welfare reform, the Council has been considering in greater detail the impact of those changes on individuals and families in Clackmannanshire and has been taking a number of steps to provide additional advice, information and support.
To help the Council provide assistance, it is important that people make contact as soon as possible if they are having difficulties so that the Council is aware of the situation and able to consider what help might be available.
Council Leader Gary Womersley said: "This fun day information stall is an informal way of reaching local people with information about some of the biggest changes to the welfare benefits system in over 60 years. Our outings at Tillicoultry Gala and Hawkhill Fun Day were well received, so I'm sure the people of Tullibody will find it just as useful. We'll have leaflets available offering a wide range of information about the changes, and as well as expert Council officers. There will also be giveaways for the kids, so please do check out our stall at Tron Court Fun Day."
The fun day starts at 12noon and runs until 3pm and will be based at Tron Court in Tullibody. Attractions include a BBQ, live music, inflatable, face painting, beat the goalie and fancy dress.
