Gartmorn Dam celebrates it Tercentenary this year with a full programme of events and activities planned over the next few months.

Most of the events will take place at Gartmorn Dam, so in order to ensure that the Dam is looking its best in preparation for visitors, the Council's Countryside Rangers have organised a 'Summer Spruce Up.'

Enterprise and Environment Convenor Councillor Donald Balsillie said: "The event takes place on Wednesday 17th July and we need and will welcome as many people as possible to come along and help spruce up the paths, prune back any overgrown vegetation and pick up litter. The Tercentenary events will bring more visitors than usual to the Dam, so we want the Country Park to look as good as possible."

Volunteers should meet at Gartmorn Dam Visitor Centre at 11am. The spruce up runs until 3pm. Please wear outdoor clothing and suitable footwear and bring a bite to eat for lunch.
