Three former Alva Academy pupils have been selected for the Scotland Under-20 Junior World Cup which begins in France next week.
Adam Ashe, Jamie Bhatti and Reyner Kennedy were all in the same team at school with Reyner and Adam both being in the team that lifted the Brewin Dolphin Bowl in 2011.
Education, Sport and Leisure Convener, Councillor Ellen Forson said: "This is an amazing achievement for the boys but also a tremendous lift for comprehensive schools rugby. I would like to pass on my congratulations to all three young players and wish them well in the tournament in France and for their entire rugby careers.
"They have not just done themselves and their families proud, but the whole of Clackmannanshire."
The IRB Junior World Championship take place in France from 5th to 23rd June.
All three play in the forwards, with Jamie and Reyner both members of Stirling County RFC, while Adam, who was also a member of the Scottish rugby sevens squad, plays for both Glasgow Warriors and Stirling County.
