Clackmannanshire Council's Active School Co-ordinator, Leanne Ross, part of the Sports Development Team, will lead out holders Glasgow City this Wednesday, 29th May, when they take on Spartans Ladies in the Scottish Women's Premier League final at Recreation Park, Alloa.

The game, which kicks-off at 7.30pm, is sure to attract a large crowd, especially given the local interest.

Glasgow City team captain, Leanne, said: "It is a great honour to be leading out my club in a Cup Final at any time, but with the match being played here in Clackmannanshire it is even more special.

"There is a great interest locally when I play at both club and international level. It is a great opportunity to promote the women's game and with the local connection I am hopeful there will be a good crowd at the final."

Glasgow City are Scotland's most successful women's football team who boast a large number of full Scottish Internationalists. The club have won six consecutive SWPL titles, three Scottish cups and three League cups in the last six seasons.

Leanne has won ninety international caps and after narrowly missing out on qualification for Euro 2013 is determined to help Scotland to qualify for the Womens World cup Finals in 2015.

Entry is £5 for adults and £2 for children.
