Craigbank Primary School pupils were quick to respond to an appeal for blankets and bedding items by the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Recently the SSPCA, Scotland's animal welfare charity, made an appeal in the local press for blankets. These were to be used to for bedding and comfort for the animals recovering at their National Wildlife Rescue Centre at Fishcross.
Some animal friendly parents from Craigbank Primary School brought in blankets to the school and a group of pupils this week delivered them to the centre.
Education, Sport and Leisure Convenor, Councillor Ellen Forson said: "It was an extremely kind gesture by the parents and children to respond so quickly. I would urge other schools around the county to help out and donate any spare blankets and bedding to a very worthwhile cause."
