Two Clackmannanshire primary schools are preparing for visits from the Riderz cycle stunt display teams this week.
It follows on from the national launch of Give me Cycle Space.
The 12 strong team will be visiting Park Primary School on Wednesday 8th May and the following day, 9th May, they will be appearing at Tillicoultry Primary School.
In a planned full day of activities, the team will be performing in both the morning and afternoon, including a lunchtime display.
Education Convener, Councillor Ellen Forson said: "As well as the excitement of watching the top stunt cyclists in action, and the fun element, the event will include a host of activities for the children, which will inform the children on how to look after their own bikes and how to ride them better and more safely."
"We really hope the children and staff make the most of the day and enjoy, what I am sure will be a unique atmosphere of a stunt team visiting their school. I would expect it to be both a very visual and quite a busy, but informative day."
The stunt tour, which is now in its sixth year, is designed to inspire school children to take up biking, with both male and female stunt riders performing exciting routines .
Iain Withers, manager of the Riderz Cycle Stunt Team said: "Expect the show to be spectacular and loud with plenty of interaction."
The stunts themselves involve the bike riders doing jumps, flips and tricks and will take place within a carefully cordoned-off area.
The show also includes a lot of activities that the children can take part in. The morning activities are suitable for all ages, with the afternoon activities suitable for P5-7. Up to 90 pupils can take part in both activity sessions.
In the morning the pupils will take part in bike music/storytelling and bike art activity, suitable for all ages.
In the afternoon, the pupils will undertake bike activities with the stunt team and helpers. These activities are based around the pupils' own bicycles, and they will be asked to bring their bikes to school for the activity sessions.
Iain added: "The activities will include teaching the pupils how to look after their bikes, how to ride their bikes well and will include an on-bike challenge suitable for pupils who have basic cycling skills."
