Fishcross PS awarded Eco FlagFishcross Primary School is delighted to have been awarded a Green Eco Flag this week.

This is the culmination of two years of eco work at Fishcross which has been assessed by Anne Black and Sybil Taylor from Keep Scotland Beautiful.

Pupils from the school's eco group gave a presentation about The Fishcross Eco Plan and some of the school's most recent achievements.

The assessors were also given a tour of the playground and "The Wee Fishie Garden". The morning culminated in a school assembly, where each member of the wider learning group gave an update of their work.

The assessors commented that the school children at Fishcross had brought about positive change in the school and showed great respect for their environment.

Education Convener, Councillor Ellen Forson said: "The staff and children at the school must be commended for all their hard work and dedication to improving the environment and achieving their third Eco Flag."
