The Health Group at Fishcross Primary School continued their success in maintaining their level three health accreditation by organising a whole school health morning.

Their chosen focus was healthy eating and in preparation for the morning, the health group devised a lengthy list of possible activities to help promote healthy choices.

The group decided which activities they thought best achieved this in the most enjoyable way by testing the activities and creating all the resources required.

During the morning, the school took part in stories, drama, active games, board games and ICT skills.

The most enjoyable activities based on individual feedback were making and eating the fruit kebabs and creating a school display of Old Mother Hubbard's Healthy Cupboard.

Education Convener, Councillor Ellen Forson said: "I would like to congratulate all the staff, pupils and the families in the way they have approached this project and I am delighted that they have maintained their level three accreditation."

The group now intends to use the review sheets to evaluate the morning and repeat the surveys to establish the positive influence the health morning has had.
