Four Clackmannanshire school children each received a fabulous Kindle Fire this week after winning a competition to mark the annual Scottish School Meals Week.
The delighted winners were: Sophie Davidson, P5 at Clackmannan Primary School; Erin McMillan, P3/4 at Muckhart Primary School; Megan Gallagher, P7, at Park Primary School and Adam Mullen, who is in primary one at St Serf's Primary.
The competition was run by Class Cuisine, the Council's catering service.
Education Convener, Councillor Ellen Forson said: "It was terrific to welcome the winners and their families to the Council Chambers in Greenfield and I was delighted to present them with their terrific prizes, which are first class educational tools for children of all ages."
Pupils from all over the county were given the opportunity to take part in a word search competition, where they had to find hidden words all associated with Scottish Schools Meals Week, including some of the names of the fabulous dishes which were on the menu that week. There was a competition winner from each local school.
In addition to the winners of the four Kindle Fires, there was a winner from each school in the county selected, who each received a sports voucher for Sterling Mills.
