Clackmannanshire Council is reviewing the Housing Revenue Account Financial Business Plan, and we want to hear your views to help shape the future of the Housing Service.
The Financial Business Plan supports the rent structure, which allows us to make annual investment in our 5000 houses. It affects investment like new kitchens, bathrooms, doors and heating systems. The new plan will influence how we deliver services until 2018 so it is important that we know what you think.
This is the second phase of the programme of consultation, following an extensive exercise last summer. The initial consultation asked tenants whether the Council had the priorities right for the Clackmannanshire Housing Strategy.

This latest phase of the consultation will influence rental charges. We previously set rent levels to cover future investment, but we have delivered savings, reduced borrowing, and kept as many properties as possible from demolition since the last Business Plan was finalised. This has enabled us to review rent levels, which is why we are asking you for your views again.
The consultation runs until 15th April. To coincide with the consultation, there will be an open day at Alloa Town Hall on Saturday 13th April which will also be a chance to find out more about the Scottish Social Housing charter.
Housing convener Councillor Les Sharp said: " We have invested £40 million in the last five years to improve the standard and availability of Council housing. Your comments and views on the latest consultation will enable us to look specifically at the rent levels and savings initiatives required to support your priorities and ensure the standard of Council flats and houses is maintained."
