Clackmannanshire Works celebrated another success this week with the opening of Fraser's Bakery in Sauchie.

Clacks Works have helped fund some start up costs for the new bakery for the first four months, to help them develop their business.

The bakery, which is situated in the premises of a former bakery, which has been disused and empty for the past two years, will employ five staff, including owner Jamie Davis and his business partner Andy McLean.

Council Leader, Councillor Gary Womersley, who performed the official opening of the new bakery, said: "I was delighted to open the new bakery, which is at the hub of the community and will help regenerate the Main Street. It is tremendous to have a new business in Sauchie with local jobs and a business using and promoting local products."

Mr Davis said: "I can't thank the council enough for their support, without which I would not have been able to have managed to open the bakery."
