Children's author Linda Strachan visited St Serf's Primary School in Tullibody this week.
Linda, famously known as the author of the Hamish McHaggis series of books, shared some of these books with two of the classes.
Primary three enjoyed hearing about Hamish's adventures at the Falkirk Wheel while primary four discovered what Hamish got up to at Stirling Castle.
Linda also took time with the pupils to explain to them how to develop characters, something which was well appreciated by the children, who had lots of fun doing this, and will learn from the experience.
Primary four pupil Lily Harrison found the visit very informative and commented: "It has given me inspiration for my own stories."
The visit will be followed up with more opportunities for the children to develop characters and include them in their own stories in the future.
Linda's visit to the school was funded by the Scottish Book Trust Live Literature Funding.
