The funeral of Josh Gavin will take place at St. Mungo's Parish Church on Friday, 15th February at 12 noon.
It is expected that there will be a significant number of mourners at the funeral therefore the Council has decided it will be necessary to operate temporary road closures in the surrounding streets.
All traffic will be kept out of Ludgate (south of Conningsby Place) and Bedford Place (from Church Street to Bedford Court) during the time of the service. This will also affect St Mungo's Wynd. There will also be no parking on Ludgate (between Marshill and Conningsby Place).
After the service, the procession will leave St Mungo's Parish Church to head towards Sunnyside Cemetery, and they may also cause some traffic disruption. The procession will be led by the Bowmar Pipe Band and it is excepted that many of the mourners will walk behind the procession to the cemetery. The planned routed is Ludgate, Marshill, Mar Place, Parkway, Sunnyside Road to the cemetery.
Local residents in the affected streets are being asked to move their car outside the 'road closed' area before 10am if they require access. The streets will remain closed to traffic from 10am until 1.30pm.
The Provost has also decided to lower flags at Alloa Town Hall on Friday as a mark of respect for Josh.
