Weekly Bookbug sessions for under-fives have resumed after the holiday period in the local libraries and CAPs in Alva, Clackmannan, Sauchie, Tullibody and also in the Bowmar Centre, Alloa.

Bookbug is part of the Scottish Book Trust, the leading agency for the promotion of literature, reading and writing in Scotland and aims to encourage parents and children to share and enjoy books together.

Education, Sport and Leisure Convener, Councillor Ellen Forson said: "Sessions are full of fun with stories, songs and rhymes for children, parents and carers to enjoy together. I would encourage as many people to come along and join in."

Details of the days and times of Bookbug sessions can be found on Clacksweb, with a link from Junior Library pages and also details on the events diary.

Details are also available on Facebook, Twitter, at any library or CAP. For further information telephone 01259 452262 or e-mail: libraries@clacks.gov.uk.
