The Returning Officer for Clackmannanshire has declared the results of the nomination process for the establishment of community councils for the Clackmannan and Tullibody, Cambus & Glenochil areas. Chief Executive Elaine McPherson announced the results on Thursday 8th November following the end of the nomination process which began in October.

Community councillors for both community councils were elected unopposed, with Clackmannan returning 8 community councillors and Tullibody Cambus & Glenochil returning 10. The names of the newly elected community councillors will be posted on ClacksWeb at www.clacksweb.org.uk/council/communitycouncilelections/

Provost Tina Murphy welcomed the outcome of the recent nomination process. Provost Murphy said: "I am delighted to learn that these community councils will re-establish and I wish the newly elected community councillors the best of luck in continuing the excellent work of the community council as they represent the interests of their communities. We see community councils as the first point of contact on many matters so Clackmannanshire Council is very reassured to know that the whole of the county is again represented by a community council."

As with all community council meetings, the first meeting of the two community councils will be held in public and residents of these areas may attend to observe proceedings. The dates of the first meetings will be advertised in due course.
