Organisations in Clackmannanshire have come together to provide information about the services available for young people who need help with finding work and training in a new guide called the "Clackmannanshire Skillsmap".

Councillor Ellen Forson, Convenor for Education, said: "There is help and support available for young people looking for work but sometimes knowing where to go for that help can be difficult and confusing. This guide is for young people and those that support them including parents, carers and workers from a range of agencies. Using it should help them work out what's available and what the best options may be for each individual involved."

You are invited to send a photographer to Lornshill Academy conference room at 3.30pm on Wednesday 31st October when the Councillor Forson will launch the 'Clackmannanshire Skillsmap' alongside members of the Clackmannanshire Opportunities for All Partnership.

The guide has information on the options available to young people who are aged between 16-24 and looking for work or training. It also has the contact details they might need. The guide can be accessed on Clacksweb.

The information has been produced by the Clackmannanshire Opportunities for All Partnership, a group of organisations and agencies working together to support young people leaving school and moving on to their next steps. The group includes Clackmannanshire Council, Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface, Forth Valley College, Job Centre Plus and Skills Development Scotland.
