It will not only be the start of a new academic year, but for the English for Speakers of Other Languages service, classes will also be held in a brand new location in Alloa Town Centre.

ESOL classes formerly delivered in Alloa Library, will now take place, in the CVS Centre, 12-14 Primrose Street, Alloa starting from Monday, 3rd September.

Registration of new learners will take place in the new location on Saturday, 1st September between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Learners are encouraged to come along and find out more about the service and find out which class is best for them.

Councillor Ellen Forson, convenor of Clackmannanshire Council's Education, Sport and Leisure Committee, said: "It is a marvellous and very popular service, where we teach English to speakers of other languages. We offer three levels of ESOL classes: beginners, post-beginners and ESOL for Life and Work. We also run a regular conversation club and social events which is a great way to meet new friends and help people integrate into the local community."

Learners can obtain further information or register for classes every Monday evening throughout September from 6pm-7pm within the CVS building.

ESOL for Life and Work classes commence on Monday 3rd September for 6 weeks, from 7.15pm to 9.15pm in the CVS Building. ESOL Beginner classes commence on Wednesday 5th September, from 6pm to 8pm, again for a period of 6 weeks. Two Post-Beginner classes commence on Thursday 6th September, from 11am-1pm and 8pm-10pm.

There will also be a Conversation Club for all English learners, their families and friends, this Saturday, 1st September, in the CVS building, from 10.30am until 12.30pm, as well as a Table Top Sale including books and language related materials for sale.
