Clackmannanshire Council Youth Services Detached Youth Work Teams will be hosting a number of Community Based sports and leisure sessions throughout June in local parks and MUGA's in the lead up to the Youth Services Big Buzz.

The Big Buzz takes place in the West End Park, Alloa, on Saturday 30th June.

The focus of the sessions will be to support young people to complete questionnaires and take part in a consultation where they will be able to describe the types of leisure and sports activities which they would like to see provided by the Council within their own communities.

The input will form a significant part of Clackmannanshire Councils Sports and Leisure Strategy 2012-16.

The activities on offer will include football tournament for boys and girls and graffiti art. Youth workers will also have games and information available on a wide range of topic and issues.

Young people will also get the opportunity to have their say in the leisure and sports survey.

The tour began at Alva MUGA in Cochrane Park last Tuesday, 12th June, and then moved on to Tullibody Delph MUGA on Thursday 14th June. The following evening there was an event at Alloa Sunnyside Primary School and another at Sauchie Fairfield Park on Tuesday 19th.

The tour continues this Thursday, 21st June at Tillicoultry Public Park from 6pm until 9pm. Then the focus falls on Alloa -The walled garden in the Policies - on Friday 22nd between 6pm-9pm.

Clackmannan MUGA will be held in Clackmannan Primary School Wednesday 27th June between 6pm-9pm.

Education, Sport and Leisure Convenor Councillor Ellen Forson said: " We look forward to seeing as many of the young people of the community turning up to these events and having their say on the strategy, which will shape their futures."
