Clackmannanshire Schools' Support Service were the proud recipients of
their 2nd Eco Flag this week.
They achieved this award following all the hard work they have been undertaking in school to Reduce, Re-use and Recycle.
Staff and pupils visited ACE re-cycle's HUB this week to receive their award along with Clackmannanshire Council Provost Tina Murphy.
Provost Murphy said: "We are absolutely delighted and indeed, very proud of the efforts and achievements of our Schools' Support Service in receiving their second Eco Flag. I would like to pass on my congratulations to all the staff and pupils for their hard work in achieving this, it really is a credit to them all
"We are totally committed in Clackmannanshire to recycling and the time and dedication put in by our young people in attaining this award shows that there is a strong emphasis on recycling from the youth right through the whole community."
Eco-Committee Chairperson Jim Thornton has been active in working with ACE re-cycling and other partners to reduce energy bills, recycle clothes and shoes and to upgrade
the school grounds by re using various materials such as railway sleepers and tyres.
The school now has a working outdoor classroom as a result.
