Clackmannanshire Council is reviewing the Housing Revenue Account Business Plan, and we want to hear your views to help shape the future of the Housing Service.
The Business Plan supports the rent structure, which allows us to make annual investment in our 5000 houses. It affects investment like new kitchens, bathrooms, doors and heating systems. The new plan will influence how we deliver services until 2018 so it is important that we know what you think.
A programme of consultation will continue throughout the year where we will be reflecting on some of the challenges facing the service, including welfare reform changes, rising energy prices and a reduction in the number of socially rented houses available.
Housing vice-convener Provost Tina Murphy said: "Your comments and views on the initial consultation will enable us to look specifically at the rent levels and savings initiatives required to support your priorities and ensure the standard of Council flats and houses is maintained."
We will keep you updated on the different housing investment options so you can help to ensure that a balance is struck between the level of services provided and the affect that has on rent levels.
Our initial consultation runs until 1st July 2012.
Please help us to shape our formal stage of consultation on the investment options and our service delivery.
We want you to find it easy to participate in and influence our decisions so there a number of ways for you to get involved: You can keep your responses anonymous if you wish.
